国家优青,教育部新世纪人才。中国光学学会光电技术专委会委员、纤维光学与集成光学专委会委员,中国光学工程学会光纤传感专家工作委员会委员,中国仪器仪表协会光机电技术与系统集成分会常务理事。主要从事光纤传感技术与系统、光学测试方法与光纤测量仪器研究,主持国家重大科学仪器设备开发专项(课题)、科技部重点研发计划(任务)、国家自然基金科学基础仪器专项、科技部国际合作项目等国家级项目10多项;发表论文250余篇,其中被SCI收录134篇;授权发明专利106项;合著学术专著2本、专著章节1个;获黑龙江省科技奖自然科学类、技术发明类、科技进步类一等奖各1项,获教育部技术发明二等奖1项,获第十二届黑龙江省青年科技奖。
